Born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, Daniel Perez founded Chicago LSD Radio with a deep passion for inclusivity and a commitment to uplifting underrepresented voices in the arts. As a gay Latino, Daniel’s personal experiences have shaped his vision of creating a platform where diversity thrives.

Dan Shade, known by his stage name SHĀDAN, was raised in Michigan, the birthplace of Techno, and now calls Chicago—the home of House music—his base. His eclectic musical influences shape a unique sound that blends hypnotic, ethereal intricacy with the improvisational spirit of jam bands. SHĀDAN’s DJ style subverts monotony, creating unexpected, layered compositions that tell stories and keep the energy fresh and exciting. His music defies convention, offering a sound that's anything but ordinary.

I am looking forward to the opportunities and events that Chicago LSD will set forth in. I also want to be one of the firsts Queer, African American women to be apart of Chicago LSD. Creating a space for people like me in a predominantly white male orginization. AND TO SUPPORT MY COMMUNITY!!!
Josh Nava
Journalist (Intern)
Josh Nova is an English student at the University of Illinois Chicago with a passion for writing about underrepresented groups and niche issues. He's drawn to Chicago LSD Radio for its focus on culture, the LGBT community, and voices often overlooked by mainstream media. Josh values the way the station celebrates diversity and shines a spotlight on important topics that don't always make the front page. Outside of writing, he's a cineaste with a love for classic directors and literary fiction. Fun facts: Josh is ambidextrous, minored in Moving Image Arts, and is a fan of gothic horror and hard-boiled detective fiction.

Ryan Gorey is a dynamic Chicago-based DJ and the creative force behind RGML Entertainment, where he specializes in curating unforgettable experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. With an open format style that seamlessly blends mixed genres, Ryan knows how to read the room and keep the dance floor alive.

DJ Wolfy
Producer/Resident DJ
Mikey Newson, aka DJ Wolfy, is a Chicago-based DJ with a deep love for House Music and culture. Recently, he opened for Derrick Carter and Michael Serafini at the legendary Smartbar party Queen!, where his mashup of Beyoncé and Crystal Waters had the crowd on fire. Wolfy’s mixes have also been featured on WNUR and Haus of LSD Radio Chicago. He’s honored to have worked with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, helping digitize the Godfather of House’s 5,000+ vinyl collection. DJing for Wolfy is about creating a positive, selfless experience, making sure everyone on the dance floor feels good and free from the outside world.

Hi! My name is Suzanna, and a lot of people know me as sudoku. I’m a DJ/producer/audio engineer and I have a huge passion for music. My main genres are UK Garage, Grime, and Deep Dubstep/140. The UK music scene has definitely inspired me a lot in the music I mix and create, and I hope to bring back the OG UK bass back to chicago!

BARKER is a house producer and DJ who calls Chicago home. From childhood as a classically trained musician to new life as an electronic artist, he's always been surrounded by music and moved by the impact it has on people. Playing festivals & clubs coast to coast in the USA, and consistently releasing music on some of the world's most respected record labels, BARKER is an up and coming force in the electronic scene.
Joel Ingrassia
Event Operations Supervisor
Joel Ingrassia is a recent transplant to Chicago from San Diego, bringing his love for the outdoors and his passion for community engagement. A City and Regional Planning graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Joel is excited to collaborate with Chicago LSD Radio on local events and initiatives. Outside of work, he's a dog and plant dad who thrives on spending time in nature. Fun facts: Joel is originally from California, has a twin, and loves all things outdoors.

Hello, my name is Tristan Hrencecin. I am a junior currently majoring in a Graphic Design BA. I am also interested in Illustration and Creative Writing as potential minors or other subjects of interest. I am a transfer student who came from Triton College and I currently attend the art school Columbia Chicago College. In my free time I like partaking in hobbies or work where I can express my creativity, going outside, being physically and socially active.
